Good bar tape

My new Cervelo came with some really excellent silicone bar tape. I contacted Cervelo and asked what brand it was. Here's the link. https://velosaddles.us/product/silicone-wrap/

It's great if you need to partially remove it and rewrap with no adhesive to deal with. The brake levers on a new bike are never located where I want them.

I got the bar tape recommended by Cervelo, but it's not the same as what they provided on my new bike. It's similar, but it has an adhesive strip that won't work nearly as well if it's partially removed and rewrapped. No adhesive is what I wanted.

Silicone is the tits. Lasts a long time, comfy as hell. Wolftooth has a version, RSI is the original (though my least favorite). I have it on most bikes now (5-6) because it's easier and better than any other tape. Here's the Aliexpress version

Is it adhesive or just a bead of silicone?

Looks nice and reminds me of my favorite tape of all time, which is now discontinued.

I like silicone bar tape too and used the RSI tape for a year or so. I am currently using Acros silicone tape that I have to order from Germany.

What I haven't found is that any of it lasts a long time. No matter what brand I've tried, the tape always wears thin at the hoods in fairly short order.

I used to run Pro Sport Comfort tape, otoh, and that stuff lasted forever.

Used Deda Elemente for many years, black of course. Started using Marque Black suede from Amazon. I like it better than the Deda. Under $15 so i like the price too!

I'm with you on this. I am a huge fan of Silca Nastro Cuscino. It's like the Piloti but even thicker and cushier. Perfect for a gravel bike.

I really liked the Rapha Brevet tape, but sadly like many nice rapha things, it has passed to the great beyond. I’m looking for something similar with a perforated outer layer and a colorful inner layer. Any recommendations?

Adhesive with paper covering it, like most tapes.

Give the Arundel Synth Gecko a try. Per the description, no adhesive.

I think the adhesive on new bar tapes is not like the old. I was able to easily rewrap Cinelli cork tape without problem.
