So far i agree from what i can see --- i was enjoying the P&R section over there, but predictably was locked out - so the rest of the forun wasnt as much fun anymore ---

Its refreshing to be on a site that mainly just talks about bikes

* fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 52mph, Redwood Road, Oakland, CA. Long ago. Not so risky now.
* how many miles ON THE ROAD on a road bike last year? I think I did about 4750 combined Road and gravel. Was on track for my target 5500 until 9/11 when I crashed and was out almost two months.

Thanks, I love it! First 29'r mtb I've owned too and I'm always amazed what it rolls over

My mtb got more miles when I used to live in Jersey and Socal, but I still enjoy riding in the spots surounding NYC. I usually go to Graham hills but I'll ride Sprain Ridge and Blue mtn as well

As someone old enough to remember mountain biking on 26" narrow tires in the 90s there is a huge difference in riding a 29er.

Cool to see trails that close to NYC.
