A Sneak-Peek, or gratitude and excitement

A quick photo indicating what is to come,

Grateful for what's behind, and Excited about what's to come!

I've shared some small parts of the journey to tenure here, and somehow the past few weeks have stirred up some of the same doubts that one encounters on that particularly painful path.

Said fears were somewhat assuaged by the arrival of this:

Many here have helped in my search for a forever frame marking this occasion. I had originally imagined that this frame would be of the Titanium persuasion, but then this frame came along. Not exactly what I had imagined, but I think it fits just right. It will be a great contrast to the Yamaguchi (this bike is on track to come in more than six pounds lighter!), and I can't wait to take it into the mountains.

Still waiting on a few parts to finish the build, but I did manage to connect the front brake and rear derailleur in order to sneak it around the block a few times this evening, loose cables wrapped around the bars.

As I said in the beginning--very grateful for everything that has brought me to this point (particularly the support of family and friends--we don't get through things like this on our own), and very excited at what is to come.

Thanks!

Can't tell you how hard it is to wait for the last few pieces of the build to come in so that I can take it out for a real ride.
