A couple from my ride this weekend. My sense of exploration and poor knowledge of the area led me to the conclusion that I need to add a gravel/all-road bike to the stable.

Did some really enjoyable bikepacking in PA/NJ/NY last week. Weather was pretty dang good.

Sleeping in a hammock right next to something like this can only be tainted by the guy who runs the camp ground saying "been a lot of black bears around lately so you guys know what to do with your food if you have any." And then only slightly.

I'm quite happy with where I live, but you guys on the East Coast are making me jealous right now!

Once you’re out of the more densely populated areas, it’s quite nice. But I’m still amazed how inconsiderate and rude urban northeasterners can be.

Another day, another 5:45am ride.

Really need to get a pocket camera for riding.

Spent 4 days around last weekend riding in the Lyndeborough area of Southern, NH.

Great riding and fun to catch up with family.

We were riding part of the annual Rose Mountain Rumble route here since I will not be able to ride it this fall. Great region and a really nice route with a good mix of climbing and nice views as rewards.

The whole Monadnock region really has great back road riding and some fun small towns with a good General Store Cafe mixed in etc.

First ride on the Kavic Lola. I've had the frame sitting here for maybe 10 years. I always liked the frame but the geometry isn't the best for me, hence the short upright stem and forward saddle position. Black anodized Easton 7005 tubing, 60 cm bare frame weighs 2.7 lbs. Cheapo Tiagra/8 speed XT build, but functionally great. Yet another thunderstorm building up in the west, it's here now...

It comes with a 50/34 and 11-28. For an aggressive gravel bike I would hope to have at least a 32. Made me push harder however. It is a fantastic bike off road.
