Bitter batteries?

Anyone know of a solvent that will remove the bitter coating from Duracell 2032 batteries? I have a huge pack and would like to be able to use them in my Quarq. I have seen the suggestion of sanding them, but I like much more the idea of just wiping them with alcohol or something...

If it's bitter when you licked it...that means saliva dissolves it, right?

Keep licking.

Bitter butter makes the batteries bitter.
Better butter makes the batteries better.
