Sad news.
It's not like they can really say much. Things are coded.. for a reason. But I read the Austin news bit and it sounds like there were two suspicious deaths not far from each other, so -- probably a lot more to come on what actually happened.

Mergeable threads here too.

from Cycling News: “ The police are treating the shooting as "suspicious activity" and have ruled out suicide”

Apparently no firearm found.
I thought Austin was a “chill” city.

RIP Mo, what a tragedy.

As in it is an active investigation, police cannot say much, a lot is yet unknown and a reporter has to write something, even if it sounds stupid…

I dunno, "exact circumstances behind the shooting are not fully understood by police and the investigation is ongoing."

the latest from a TV station in Austin:
“ APD believes someone shot Wilson inside the home, and that it “does not appear to be a random act.” A person of interest has been identified.”

This is so awful.. I just can't even imagine what her friends and family are going through. How do you make sense of something like that?

She was living in Mill Valley. And was a part of the cycling community here. I met her once about a month ago she was incredibly friendly and inspiring as everyone who knew her well would say. This is so tragic.

We gave her a tribute last Sunday.
