Stelbel x Rocket Espresso

Well that was fast
I guess all sizes sold out
I wonder if it was 30 total pieces or 30 each size?
EDIT: I see this on Rockets page so total 30
Each bike will be numbered and limited to a total production of 30 bikes.

In any case what a nicely balanced looking bike this was

It's funny how you can buy something like this for $800 less than an Aethos with Ultegra Di2. Hahahahaha.

A comparative bargain.

Me too. Its a nice bike, but why brand it as a "Rocket Espresso' bike?

I think the general model is to do this as gifts for people in their network and then make a few available for loyal friends and customers. I'm only guessing, but it seems to make sense.

That's a more natural collaboration. Rapha and Allied are both in the same sector (cycling softgoods + bicycles) and both owned by the same parent company (Walmart).

That said, there are plenty of relationships in bicycles that seem to work. There are also plenty of cycling race and commuting fans.

Rocket has partial sponsorship of UCI pro teams.

Coffee or not, it's a sweet rig. Price seems very reasonable too. Great frame (with good geo) built with SR12 and WTOs...I'd be hard pressed not to hit "buy".

Edit: I just emailed on availability.

Price check:
- top level frame: $4k
- SR12: $3,400
- WTO 45s: $2,600
- Finish kit: $400

Grand total: ~10,400.

What am I missing?

Great looking collaboration. My kind of bike for sure. It does show what a good value the Stelbel in the classifieds is,

Like others have mentioned “collaborations” are a pop culture thing.

The cool kids use the short hand “collab” or the plural “collabs”

You’ll find a lot of collabs are of a limited production, creating scarcity and bragging rights for those fortunate enough to acquire.

People love it.

this exactly, its not the same thing at all.

Rapha also did a collaboration with rocket on a coffee machine, that is a better comparison but it was as silly as this bike.

I get it though, its easy to get people to buy special edition things.

the price is indeed not bad. I will be surprised if you get an email that says the price is what it says on the site. They don't mention what wheelset comes with the bike on that site so I bet they will add $3k for the wheels and there you are at the 10k.
