Moriah Wilson dead at 26

shocking to see nothing from the promoters or other athletes.

A bright star gone too soon.

Holy cow. She was on fire this season and it's just shocking to read that this happened to her. Obviously my deepest sympathies to all who knew her.

Wow. Small condolence but at least the authorities believe her death was "suspicious"

Wow, very sad. Crazy that even those that are on the up and up like this can be taken down by what seems to be possibly a random act of violence. Regardless of death circumstances, just a sad reminder that you never know when you're gonna go, don't put life on hold.

"Wilson grew up in East Burke, Vermont. She skied competitively throughout her youth, continuing to compete at Dartmouth College, where she also played soccer. She graduated with a degree in engineering."

Ooof. That hits close to home.

All my condolences to her family and those close to her.

Crazy shocking. Had just heard a couple podcasts with her and read the Velonews interview with her posted earlier this week. Was getting invested into how well she could do after she quit her full time job and gave the pro life a real shake.

So tragic. Maybe I have watched to many Datelines but I have to think there is more to the story and that the chances that it was random are very slim.

She was shot, how could the death be anything but 'suspicious'...?

I will refrain from making any other comment...

Austin Texas...BTW-

More than half of gun deaths are suicides.

Yup, not sating it was murder but death by gunshot is pretty much by definition, 'suspicious'.

This line leads me to think they don't think so - "The identity and the motive of the shooter remain unknown."

F.k. I was just watching the BWR highlights on the trainer last night, halfway through. What a senseless tragedy. Heart goes out to her family and friends.

The police are treating the shooting as "suspicious activity"
Can't get much past those TX cops, that's for sure.

Sad news.
