WTB: SSCX or 1X beater bike (NYC-TRISTATE) [50-54cm]

A bit off the mark for the usual fare here, but recently sold my old road bike which had been doing time as a commuter and looking to pick up something cheap to serve in its stead. Open to bikes in the Tri-State area, NYC proximity a plus (but have car, will travel). Looking for something simple, fun, and that wouldn't attract too much attention locked up outside on the street.

50-54cm frame size

ranging preferences include:

min 30-32 tire clearance
would love oversized tubing, AL or something
at least one brake, preferably disc (canti ok)
relatively light

Budget is sub 1k so not expecting the world, but if you've anything gathering dust, or something that fits the bill, please to run it by me!

*if you have an aluminum single speed/1x frame that you may have stripped of its paint in advance of a repaint, rebuild, that never ended up happening, i would love to see it

Just sold something like this locally in SF.

But for your budget, I'd be willing to sell my blue Cannondale CX-9 commuter. Currently setup as 1x10, but you could easily make it a SSCX with a Melvin or something like that.

Probably doesn't pass the 'low-key lockup bike' requirement.
