Honestly, answering a question like this is tough. How I answer is dependent on the mood I'm in when I type it. Lot's of good ones already thrown out that I can agree with.

To some extent, I more enjoy the character development and depth that goes into the longer run-times of shows like The Queens Gambit, which I'm considering my favorite of the medium to date.

But I also respect the craft of fitting all of that into 90-ish minutes.

Thoughts?

Oh, and one of my favorite movies/documentaries of the last decade was Samsara - just to add one to the list.
Interesting question. I have a friend who just raves about “Fargo” on FX. He’s also a Coen Brothers fan. I personally don’t have the time commitment for a series like that, and plus, I like the romance and nostalgia of an older movie theatre.

Although I can’t remember the last time I was in one...

Maybe it's about the story-telling arc of the entire series - and that's where something like Bosch is so successful even though it's technically a TV series.. you feel like you're watching an extended movie, not a bunch of standalone episodes with commercial breaks.

Here I found many movies from my favorite list, which is quite large because I always watch series and movies in my free time so I can't even choose from them to write which ones are my favorite. Some time ago I had big problems with finding sites that would not annoy me with ads or other things then I can watch a movie but I found the best movie streaming services like 123movies and I love it because I offer comfort and ease and it is a maximum pleasure to watch anything I want in good quality.

I just hope that when you list "the day the earth stood still". you were referring to the classic movie from the early 50's starring Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal.

Some of the best war scenes ever filmed - and it's an anti-war movie. re: Dr. Strangelove (new to this forum - d'oh!).
