My Davidson fit correctly on day one, has 75,000 miles on it, and is ready for it's third group. And I've not spoken to Bill since 2003.

Yes! My plan was to post a picture of the final build but it wound up just taking longer than expected. It took a few days to hear back, but they sent out the missing stuff promptly. Rather than sending the frame back for refinish they just send me a ti stem, which I was suggested and was very happy with.

My Disc Helix frame arrived. The Industrial Mill treatment leaves something to be desired for a top level offering IMO. I called about it and yet to have a return call, for the initial and following day as of yet. Today being third, if i have to call I am going to be a very squeeky wheel...

EDIT: did see in my phone what looked like I missed a Chatahoochee incoming call Wed, but I did not a get a VM left.

Editx2: Just did get someone beyond the receptionist, and voiced concerns etc.

The Manager of these issues is out chain sawing his house out from under what the recent tornado left all over his house and property I was told.

Having lived west of NashVegas for 9 years, I am not unsympathetic to the seasonal squall lines and their residuals by any means. This last one probably worse than the worse one that went thru in the 9 years I was there by a bit.

But even before this, my previous attempts prior to delivery had challenges, they seem to be short staffed...

Figured I’d update because I totally forgot about this. Got the whole situation figured out quite easily and got it built. Really nice ride. I went back and forth on the fit so am just now getting it dialed in.

Also, removed the overwhelming “helix pro” sticker on the top tube and looks much better imo

Nice. I always liked the way they shaped/twisted their tubes. My buddy loves his Helix.

Is that the "industrial mill" finish? If so....I like the look. I like the look of a 'tool". Which to me is what a bike is.

I just broke the chainstay on my 10+ year custom R460 while on my old Computrainer. Rather than repair the frame or replace it under the lifetime warranty, Lynskey agreed to allow me to pay a very reasonable fee to replace it with the Race GR Gravel frame, and purchase a new gravel fork and headset. Lynskey really has been good to work with both during the custom build process, and now during the warranty process.

The R460 rode great.

I wish I had got the Helix Pro with that TopTube. I really like that look. But The deal came with the 2019 I only just ordered 2/2020 after selling the older non disc Helix I had.

As far as the huge decal, I called and asked before they shipped it if they could put a smaller TT decal. I said it will be the first thing I do is remove it. Shipping notice cancel email, followed 2 days later with a new shipping eMail... low and behold it came with a smaller less tall TT decal...

I don't care about the twisted tubes on way or the other..

Some new shoes for the Helix Disc

Thinking about doing a release on this. So my XTR Pacenti Sapim hand mades had to come off. Too many spokes for this bike anyway.

Grabbed some new pulls, Vision 30s, what the base wheels Lynskey used for disc last few times I was over there.

How much weight could these add over my nice 32h XTR set, if at all one might wonder [I did]

The answer is 1/2 lb more with 24 spokes than 32 sexy built spoke artfully crafted MTB wheels. [Mix Sapim Lasers & Race]

They know how to make inexpensive wheels look decent though, don't they?

FWIW, the 30mm Ritchey Alpine JBs with latex tubes ride better than the Pro4 SC [29mm] with latex on lower profile rims, same pressures. Did not expect that.

Note, yes that RD-6700-GS with a 34-50 and 11-40 cassette works perfecto courtesy of a Wolftoth Roadlink.

Do they ever sell bikes at full price? Seems like there is a perpetual "sale".

More so this last year it seems. I used to have the idea they'd just clear out to raise cash for their fiscal filing extensions to include a chuck of paying down or something... Stupid deals seemed about same time every year, not that I know when their fiscal year ends or anything.

That Helix is a good example of me not being able to resist. Frame and ENVE 1225.00 shipped.

I got the 2016 Madone the same way, $550.00 Kammtail frameset lifetime warranty.

Starting to have too many backup bikes...

Lifetime warranty, or until a company gets Bained out I suppose...
