Ben Serotta new Ti bikes

This should be interesting. Breathing life back into Serotta.com Maybe he will be a forum sponsor once again.

The whole history of Serotta and how it unfolded is on this forum correct in various threads correct? He had an outside investor that came in (who posted here I think?) right around the time of the release of the Fondo and Pronto models then it all fell apart? Or was that after Saratoga design bikes was started? There is no shortage of frame builders using Titanium.

This happened less than an hour ago, give the guy some time. It appears he got the Serotta name back and is using it again. Good for him.

I’ve been a Serotta fanboy for nearly 20 years and have talked to Ben several times. I like the guy but really love his bikes, I’ve had close to 50 Serottas new and used.

I hope that the ‘new’ Serotta.com works for him.

Another Italian name. What happened to names like Colorado and Atlanta?

"Scapperò"

Yep, I think the main difference is that Ben must have gotten the "Serotta" brand back. Two of the bikes listed on the Serotta.com website are the same as seen on the Serotta Design Studio website...

You don't put up a website like that regardless of who you are and your history. I owned a legend ti for years, but that is a bad business practice.

Unless more good than bad can come of it, which I solidly expect to be the case here.

Buzz created et al etc etc....

And with Kellogg retired now... Ben may well be in the cat birds seat...

Great pic too: [link, due to such a big pic]

Actually, the names are the same, but the Serotta Design Studios A Modo Mio is steel. The SDS Duetti is aluminum. The new Serotta versions are titanium. I wonder what the deal is there?
