A Colnago at 8 . . . isn't it a kidnago and where, exactly, can anyone go from here?
With that said, I would give this to my kid at 8 with a VERY important lesson on what it means . . . . but that just me. |

I would say, do it... but i warn you... your kid will get like one summer out of it and that's it. Then the bike will end up at ebay again.
Due to the price is a nice deal and totally worth it, was like 500 IMO is big no no because of what you will get out of it unless you want to keep it forever. I got a 45/47 cm for my kids... they dont like to ride just to start but I couldnt get more than 1 summer out of that frame. You will be happy when your kids gets your size :P you can by stuff for him and keep them hehehe |

overpriced for a kids bike and tubulars are not ideal unless he actually races and you plan on regluing and buying new tubs for it.
i've seen more than a few Pinarello, Trek or other name brand 24" bikes Most used kids road bikes are around 50-200. It's not a great deal of money so it might be fun to have a Colnago for the kid. |

Didn't notice it had tubies. Yikes. That's a bit much for a kid's bike.
