I agree.

It's tied for second behind the Scarab.

Thanks gents - it may actually have been built in 2019 too.. iirc.

Just wait till you see it done though - shiny silver SON Edelux on the front, switched to a bar-end junction, swapped in shiny silver Nitto cages, have a Phil clamp coming, picked up some Robert Axle Project TAs for it, and swapping in GRX stuff across the board. It is far and away the fanciest frameset I've ever owned...the little details that may not be so obvious in the pics are really incredible...the polished stainless disc brake mount for example.. My only wish on it is that it had a steel fork with a stainless bi-plane crown. Maybe someday - though that would require a new headtube

That positioning works for me. Just love that Ellis fork and gorgeous color too.

East Bay sucks, stay away.
You guys have at it.
Just stay the hell away from Santa Cruz, riding there really sucks.

MorgulBismarck's red Kirk is the most Paceline bike ever. Gets my vote for road.

Houston's bike, but mostly for the pics and that it underwrites my argument that XC bikes are still flipping sweet MTBs.

And you've got drive over the hill just to get to it! Santa Cruz has without a doubt the worst riding ever. Avoid it like the plague.

My sleeper favorite thing about my Built MTB is the T47 BB. When it was introduced I thought like most, "another freaking bb standard". But this one really brings the best of some BB standards into a nice package. Internal BB30 compatible. Threaded. Large internal footprint to route internal cables through with ease. It just works and elegantly.

Along with the AXS Eagle drivetrain, it is such a joy to ride. For me the guys at Whole Athlete knocked it out of the park.

Nah.

Follow Rob English's example and machine an aluminum piece that effectively shims down from the head tube inner diameter down to a 1.125 headset.

And another vote here. That bike is perfect (though too small for me): https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=243024

If I had to pick a bike I could ride, it would be Flash's Scarab, hands down.

Why is that?
If the new fork was being built custom, wouldn't the existing head tube accept a new tapered 1.125x1.5 fork steerer tube, like the current Columbus Futura steerer? NOVA sell tapered steerer tubes.

Or this $10 piece, for use with 1.125 straight steerers, which I assume is the same thing in principle that mhespenheide describes:
HOPE HS136 Reducer Crown 1.5" to 1 1/8"
