Trek decides to do all road e-bikes

The Domane LT+.

Hey, it's 23 pounds without the motor. That's, uh, something. Coming to a gravel race near you.

Well, why wouldn't they do an all-road eBike? Makes sense from a commercial standpoint, right?

Sure, if they want to get in the moped business I guess.

Finally, you can buy the bikes ridden in the Tour de France.

Lance drools.

Just in time for my 70s. Artificial joints, high stock market, low inflation, and this. And oh, yeah, ahem, little blue pills. Thank you lord.

I have a good friend with Parkinsons.

He used to slay us whipper snappers on the group rides.
Then the disease kicked in.

Couldn't ride for a few years.
Then e-road bikes came out.

He's back on the group rides.

Eff the haters. Eff "purists."

From now on, whenever someone passes me out on the road and my tongue is hanging out and I can't even stay in their draft, it will be because they're on an electric and I'm on the modern equivalent of a dandy-horse:

Sounds OK to me.
Purchasing an eBike is hopefully still another bunch of years in the future, yet.
If successful with "keeping my marbles" the boost might be welcomed someday.

i have a fine woman friend

70 years old. Strong in her day but replaced heart valve starting to leak. She passes me regularly on her ebike like I'm standing still. It is fun cuz she's a friend but down deep I'd love be to going fast like her. I just yell god damn ebikes as she flies by and we laugh. Some day soon me thinks.

I think we may be seeing a fast evolution to the demise of non-E bikes. Mark my words and get back to me in a couple of years.
