That Rock Lobster is a favorite here for me^^
Breadwinner's done some nice brown bikes. I've seriously thought about powder coating my Ti CX bike the same color as the SS CX in this double gallery: https://theradavist.com/2018/02/gold...-breadwinners/ Here's a beautiful English: https://www.englishcycles.com/custom...mountain-bike/ Apologies--could not add pics directly, but the galleries are worth checking out! |

A pal here has a repainted Ti bike, brown, I think it's a Serotta...now I can't find the picture and is driving me nuts!
It was taken on an overhead bridge with traffic running below. I usually prefer Ti in its raw finish aesthetically but this one was so well done, I am happy to make an exception.

as a continuation of Vanilla's use of brown and blue, my SV has a significant amount and 2 shades of brown.
I think the brown Ibis colour mentioned was called Guinness. |

Meh. Brown bikes always remind me of my dad's old Raleigh Sports tank. Slow, heavy, plodding, old fashioned. The bikes I like the most in this thread all have some copper, orange, or red hue to save them from being brown. The rest, well, there are some really nice bikes here, but I'd like all of them better if they weren't brown.

Interesting point on the Holeshot. I do like how the English Mtn bike looks with no tanwalls, and I think the browns are similar (though fat tires may be different). The color of the logos may be key too.

I suggest some caution with brown bikes and tanwalls. I've got this bike:
which Fuji is calling "Bronze" and I haven't really been happy with the WTB shade of brown for tire sidewalls or Panaracer's take either. a lighter more beige color like Maxxis or Vittoria would probably be fine, but I've stuck with black. |

1998 Cannondale R4000 in "Kameleon Fire". I don't really get the "Fire" part of the color name. In most indoor lighting the bike appears to be pretty close to what I'd call Metallic Root Beer. In sunlight, red and magenta hues take over.

That Zullo is beautiful too, very similar to the Luigino (they both look very ox-blood brown). |

Not being Ruimteaaapje I will not post his bicycle here, but that is gorgeous indeed. That guy has excellent taste. He wrote the color is "Wine Red (RAL 3005)" though, so more like the ox-blood browns posted already I guess. Beautifully rich, like really good coffee. |
