35.5mm front derailleur clamp adapter?

I've got a frame with the seat tube measured (using a caliper) at 35.5mm. It's a painted Ti so I guess the tube itself is 34.9mm and the paint adds half a mm or so.

In this case, does the normal 34.9mm Shimano FD clamp adapter work? I'd imagine the back of the adapter will not close completely with a larger than usual gap, probably something like this:



Or should I hunt for a ~35.5mm one, which seems very rare?

A 34.9 should be fine.

No such thing as a 35.5mm front der clamp unless somebody made a custom one..34.9mm one will work, as above.
