Replicate Saddle Tilt

Hi,

I need some help replicating saddle tilt among various bikes. Wondering what methods are used if you don't run the saddle level?
I have converted all my bikes over to Specialized Power saddles which are run with some down tilt from the back to front of the saddle.
I do have a 12" torpedo level that has one of the vials graduated in fractions of an inch per foot. I found that that is to coarse of a measure to have the tilt the same from bike to bike.
What's available that is accurate and quick?

Thanks

If you want really high tech, get the Abby Bike Works seat thing.

I personally just use a big book (like a text book) to place on the saddle, and then you can rest a digital level on that. Some seem to have +/- 0.1 degree (if you believe that)

I think to really fine tune comfort you may WANT a little variance in tilt because your overall position will vary slightly from bike to bike so get it close with a level and then adjust as you ride each bike.

I use the same Selle Italia saddle on my bikes. For setting tilt, I have a scrap piece of melamine shelving that's large enough to cover the top of the saddle. I set that on the saddle and then place a small protractor on top. Tilt saddle until protractor is at required angle.
Cost was zilch since wood was scrap and I had the protractor.

I simply go by eye. Set the saddle where it looks close then go for a ride. The tweek it from there if need be.

Do you have an iPhone?

There are multiple angle finder Aps-

Use your level- Place phone on top of the level- Can find angle down to tenth of a degree-

I use a flat piece of plywood that's big enough to cover the whole saddle, and then put a small digital level on top of it. It reads out in tenths of a degree, so I get very consistent results. I think I got it from Amazon a few years ago, for not much $$.

Do you begin with finding a very level surface with wheels on that surface, or on a bike stand?

I place a rigid book or other object to span the entire length of the saddle. Then I place a Tilt Box on top to get a direct readout of saddle tilt. The unit is handy for reading frame angles, too.

Level surface. But I always place the bike in the same place (corner, defined by two walls), so replication is excellent even if the surface isn't totally level.
