PSA: Wahoo Elemnt Sale + Rapha

So the Wahoo Elemnt is on sale for $249.

If you are a Rapha Cycle Club member, you can get it for 199.99.

Without forcing me to do a bunch of self-education, are these better than Garmins? If so, how?

Better is relative. I think they are. You give up a color screen for better functionality and rock solid reliability. Configuration and updates are via a phone app so you'll need a smartphone or tablet. You can pair all of your sensors across all of your bikes and it will figure out which one you are riding once they wake up. You can have multiple custom screens. Screens can be panned in or out to select how much info you want to see at any given moment.

Do they use the same mount attachment as Garmins? I'd rather use the ones I've presently got on my bikes.

No, but the mounts are cheap. $19.99 for the out front, less for the stem and tri-bar. It comes with one out front and one stem in the package.

Oooh, cool. Can you do a Youtube video with them both mounted on your bike like this one other guy did?

There's plenty of battery life with the Elemnt and some of us like a larger screen.

How do you get it through the Rapha club? If I joined today, should I be able to get the $199 right away on that Element?
