I have a Google Home Mini and have not tried the Alexa. If you mainly use google services and devices (Google Play Music, Chromecast, Gmail, etc.), the Home Mini is a no brainer. For a small device, it gets surprisingly loud, enough for a bedroom

based purely on NLP performance, Google's services are better. admittedly, i am biased.

I have the Dot & it'll do way more than I ask of it. Works well for lights & things, you have to phrase the question to her just right or she doesn't understand some times. I'm happy with it but imagine for the little I use it for I'd be happy with Google, too.

I tried "Alexa, Send all my money to Jeff", it worked perfectly.

I have 3 echos. They work good and I like em. However from what I have read, google home is much smarter. Better AI and just has more commands. That said, I am perfectly fine with Amazon.
