Fit for both Gravel and Road

I have a Specialized Diverage that I currently use 80% road / 20% gravel.
I'm looking to pick up a road wheelset (currently have velocity ailerons) and was wondering if anything needed to be considered when switching between the sports.

Currently is fit for Endurance/Touring (it's a diverage afterall). Without any issues on the road, except for my hands when I havent ridden in 2+ weeks for a single ride.

Get a suspension stem when riding gravel and its not a gravel bike if you are riding 80% road. Its just a road bike with fatter tires. Gravel is more upright a position than road because the anticipation of the conditions ahead are more critical. Also get a Redshift Sports suspension stem and thank me later when you ride on the rough stuff.

How much more upright? 1 cm, 2 cm, 3?

I do about 2 cm more upright. That's what I prefer for the reason already cited - i.e., sight.

Though there is an argument that less upright is superior for gravel to keep a low center of gravity for the rough sites (i.e., better balance when bouncing around). To each his own.

Issues bouncing around seem more like an air pressure issue more than a center of gravity issue.

Maybe it's just businesses like 3T trying to market their "Aero Gravel Bikes"?

I'm thinking about my fitting on a gravel bike.
I'm looking for a Diverge carbon,i took some measurment on local shop on a 54 frame.
I'm 173 tall with 72.5 saddle height.
I have about max 4.5 cm saddle-bar drop,in my road bike about 9 cm.
Do you think it's correct or i've to change bike model?
I will also change lenght stem,from 100 to 90.
I'll use the bike also as winter road bike.

I'm 183cm tall with a 75cm saddle height and I have an aluminum 2018 Diverge with a 58 frame. Diverges have a very tall stack, so a 4.5cm difference in saddle-bar drop compared to a typical road geometry is not unexpected (if I'm reading your post correctly).

For winter riding, I just put Suomi/Nokian A10 studded tires (700x32) on but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Looking forward to it, though.

I've tried to set un a 54 frame in a local shop and the saddle- bar drop in about 2 cm.I could take away the spacers(1.5 cm) and change the upper headset cover with the lower on(1 cm down).The result Will be about 4.5 cm.
I'm considering also Giant Revolt,the stack in M size is about 2 cm lower.

You might also want to look at https://bikeinsights.com/. They compare a bike's positioning (determined by stack and reach) with other bikes in the same class, and tell you if it's aggressive, average, or upright. The Revolt shows as average, while the Diverge ranges from somewhat upright to very upright, depending on the size. They explain their approach in their blog.
