Anyone try Ratio Technology SRAM upgrade kits
https://ratiotechnology.com/product-..._type_speed=or
I have 10 speed SRAM Red shifters that I got with a bike. Anyone try these upgrade kits? It would be cool to have 12 speed mechanical. I would need some new wheels, ugh, progress. And yes the answer to all questions is Campagnolo 10 speed. |

I have a Ratio Technologies set up on my Cutthroat and works very nicely. No issues whatsoever. Mine is Rival to GX 12spd.

I did a write up on the install over at bike forums. You can search for my name and “12 speed mechanical drop bar drivetrain”. Thread from March, 2021. Last edited by Sarhog; 05-22-2023 at 03:57 PM. |

I've heard nothing but good things about their kits while I was working at a shop. Seems like a really solid choice to keep things cost effective.

I have Force 1 hydro shifters with XO1 rear derailleur and 10-50 cassette on one of my bikes for probably close to two years now and it has worked great for me. No complaints and I would use it again on a future build or recommend it to a friend.

The 11 to 12 speed conversion I used works really good. The fact that is relatively easily reversible is nice too.

My neighbor just put one on a Fargo build he's going to use for a cross country trip. We did a couple shake down rides and he has had no issues with it at all. Worst part was trying to get it delivered when the courier they use was on strike earlier this year.

did one recently as well....11spd to 12spd SRAM rival to get a giant gear range as my Rival crank is limited on chain ring size. Their video guides are super helpful and I found doing the conversion pretty simple, assuming you're even somewhat handy with basic maintenance. Toughest part was keeping the spring in place when I put the 12spd ratchet back, but it really wasn't that hard.
Currently running SRAM Rival 40t chainring with an e-thirteen Helix R 12spd 9x50t cassette....love the range for steep climbs. Ratio folks are super easy to deal with and their stuff is amazingly well built.

I recommend the Ratio kit!
I have a Ratio 12s road ratchet in my Force 1x mechanical levers. Force 1 derailleur with the Ratio kit jockey wheels. 10-44 AXS cassette and chain. I rode it today. It shifts perfectly. The flattop chain is quiet and smooth. Kind of makes me want to convert another set. The conversion is not hard if you are good at following the directions. The key is to have the shift lever in the 7th? (see directions) gear when pushing the axle out. Last edited by sparky33; 05-24-2023 at 08:18 PM. |

I have a force-1 11 speed shifter controlling force 12 speed. It works beautifully and feels almost as good as a campagnolo shifter.
I also have a force-1 controlling a SRAM XO rear dereileur with a 10-50 cassette. That setup is based on the ratio tech fin and works great. I can not recommend it enough. |

Their website doesn't seem to mention this kit working on older 10s levers, so I'm looking for confirmation on whether it can be used in 10s levers(?).

I can’t think of why it would not. But email them to confirm. They are good at clarifying things. |

I loved it when I ran a set. Ran Rival mechanical then Force Hydro. Both kits worked great.

I'm happy with mine too. In fact, I can't remember seeing a negative review of this.

I want to use Shimano cassettes with the 12 conversion
My wheels are not AXS, so want to use Shimano 12 cogs with a regular 12 chain non flat top. Does that sound like it will work, Does SRAM 12 spacing work with Shimano.
I think I figured it out, the road kit is for Exact Actuatlon, meaning 1:1 shift ratio I believe Shimano 12 road cogs work on SRAM road shifters and rear mech. That way do not use the 10 cog Last edited by dana_e; 06-03-2023 at 10:56 PM. |
