First up a pierce quill with the French point treatment. This one is will live on the front of a Tom Kellogg made with some Cinelli lugs- the french point echos their shape in a subtle gesture. The doming of the point and the transitions into the fillet are hard to shoot, but very subtle and clean.

Next up if a Flattop for a Della Santa. This one has a rear badge and a Winter-built front lug. This should add a fun touch with the lugs of the frame and the DS Ossobuco stays.

Fantastic work as usual Eric, though I have to admit I'm partial to the latter stem.

Funny, I like the pierced stem better, myself... the point rising out of the smoothness of the welds is a nice touch. Someday we'll post my Winter stem here... I'm in the queue somewhere!

The detail in that last stem is absolutely stunning. Pleasures in life truly come from the finer details.

Here's a couple shots of my Winter stem on my DS. Always gets a question or two at the coffee stop.

A couple more-

A pierced quill with custom lug for a 31.8 bar. It has a 10 lira coin mojo/ badge.

And a Taylor style stem for a vintage Taylor made frame.

Both clients for the above stems sent me photos of them installed and in use. Thanks, guys!

Do you also do polished stainless stem or only chrome for the 'polished' effect?

All of my stems are 4130 chromoly- I really like the strength, fabrication options and tube dimensions available to tune in the stem for the rider. In addition to powder coat or paint options, I offer a number of chrome finishes for different visual effects.

Thanks for showing how the sausage is made! Seeing all the filings, solder and handwork marks pre-plating give me a better appreciation for the hard work that goes into such things.

Thanks folks- they are fun to do, and can be fairly intensive. Little frames, sort of.

This is one for a track bike that I just wrapped up and took to powder for a little color.

28.6/120/31.8, -12*

So metal:
