How was your experience with them? I'm new to Philly and really wanted to have someone look through things with a fresh set of eyes since I have bike only knee issues that pop up when I start riding more. Never bothers me any other time...

First, sorry for the very late reply.

It was fine. Having said that, I'd never been fitted before. I worked with Isaac, who tweaked some things from what I've been riding for years based on feel, but he made no major changes. He checked my current bike setup, how I felt on it, and what I liked and disliked. Also typical riding position, flexibility, foot arch, leg length/discrepancy, and a few other things I don't remember.

From memory, he recommended -
  • Slightly longer top tube
  • Slightly shorter stem
  • Left shoe insert
  • Wider saddle
  • +4mm pedals (makes sense with wider saddle)
  • Cleat position/rotation tweak
  • Minor saddle adjustment

Will chime in on the Befitting train, Issac has been fitting folks for a looong while prior to their own spot. He was fitting folks via specialized at highroad cycles for years. Very experienced! Personally I know for a fact he is a great dude and Victoria is an angel. They have some great mechanics also and are all around nice people.

Would you like to say anything to recommend this guy besides dropping his name?

Probably Happy Freedman - he was at Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC for over 20 years through 2020. Met him a number of years ago, had a good discussion about bike fit but have not used his services.
