Chris King Seatpost Collars

Just saw that CK finally added seat collars to their lineup. Matte Turquoise incoming for the Bingham! The copy definitely has a paceline ring to it:

"Why We Made This – Symmetry is a key component of sound design. King riders have, for years, paired our headsets with our bottom brackets and hubs, to provide a few, classy pops of color to their bikes. But that left them with no off-setting visual cue at the top of the bike to make the look more symmetrical. If this strikes you as a goofy way to think about your bike, fair enough, but it’s one of those things that bothered our eyes a little, and enough riders asked us to make a seat collar that we went ahead and designed one.

Why You Want It – Because colors make you happy. Because what we wrote above about symmetry and balance makes sense to you. Because it’s another high-quality component you can use to show your bike how much you love it. Because it just looks great.
"

No matte bourbon--I'll have to stick with my brown Engin collar which is in the ballpark but doesn't really match. The Engin is really nice, though!

I inquired back in 2020 and got this reply:
Seatpost clamps would be a cool addition to our product line! We don't make them currently because we're a small company, and can only produce so much at one time. We're staying pretty busy keeping up with demand for our current product line.
We don't have any current plans to add those to our assortment, but might in the future.

Glad they eventually caved.
My current Salsa green one does match pretty closely tho the the CK green headset tho.

Damn, no green in the lineup.

Missed opportunity for them to include a proprietary o-ring that doesn't work with Campy or your old free hub, because reasons.

I have never owned a collar in any colour but silver or black. I love colour 9wearing a bright blue sweater right now), but not so much on bikes. Why?

I have gold Onyx hubs on a previous MTB and it was a big deal to commit to a non-silver/black hub .

LOL! I'm wondering if they "developed" a proprietary thread pitch so if/when the barrel or screw submits to the efforts of a ham fisted operator not used to collars with (small) M5 threads they are the only source for $30 replacements.

They look alright, a bit chunky and very Salsa-ish.

Think I'll stick with Wolf Tooth.
