Mine is well above 350,000 miles. Keep them maintained and they will last. Usually the body rusts away long before the motor dies. To get the body and frame to last just as long, Fluid Film is your friend.

There is a 200 under there. A baby at about 90k. Wildpeak A/T3W’s handle the conditions without a worry.

Truth be told, I really like the LC. I’ve wanted a 4Runner forever, but just don’t have an area to really “use” a vehicle like that. But definitely a well built animal. Have fun out there.

Nice 60!
Is that an aftermarket top cap? Looks taller than the factory bodywork.

Oh, I see it now. I was looking on my iPad earlier.
What a great unicorn. What kind of mileage does it get?

In 1994 my buddy and I drove his ‘72 Landcruiser from San Francisco to Moscow, Idaho to see his brother graduate college. We camped out along Smith River, boonies in Central Oregon, Columbia River. We wore earplugs on the freeway sections. Somewhere along the Columbia River, I think The Dalles, a part of the clutch fell off but we were able to reattach and drive on. The gas gauge didn’t work so at fill ups, we’d write the mileage on the window in grease pencil. I’ll never forget that trip.

Well said.
The degree of hipocrisy is always self-serving and never sacrificial, as they make it out to be.

About your hunting comment: 100%

I've always said, every single person that eats meat should be required to kill and dress whatever animal they want to eat. They should be required to do this at least once in their life before being allowed to buy processed meat in a store.

Go Hoosiers!

I drive an electric car, but would like to get an old one of these to do the occasional duties that the electric car can't handle. Maybe I'll put 2Kmi/yr on mine but that won't mean I hate the Earth.

^This.

I'm not into guns or hunting, but know plenty of dudes who shoot ducks and other creatures, yet respect wildlife more than those espousing green virtues from inside their McMansions with the A/C set at 66degrees.

Prado 'Land Cruiser GX 150'

Nice; I was completed hooked by the Prado having driven around in one in Spain last year. This one is my friend's daily driver. Despite the poverty spec (diesel, manual gearbox, cloth seats, no KDSS or crawl control) I was surprised by how modern the cabin felt and how composed it rode around town. With a modest 1" lift and KO2's it was quiet and comfortable on road, and more than capable off (here he is in the Sahara Desert). Funnily, his Prado friends all dream of importing US-spec 4Runner TRD's instead

40th Anniversary

And here is my 1997 80-series that I've just picked up. Took awhile to find a clean, rust free example, but man is it good. 40th Anniversary, triple locked.
