I rode a dogma 65.1 years ago. i hated it.
but based on this Clean's thread, i too am now tempted to get the rim brake version of the dogma 10 from excel. they're just 2 miles from my house.

I'm tempted by that 57.5 Ambra Disk

What did you hate about the older one? The geometry hasn't changed, so it will just be about lay-up and tire-clearance....

for the measly amount of my ftp and combined with my weight of 140 lb (back then. now 5 lbs heavier), i found the 65.1 stunningly and bone shakingly stiff.
not comfortable at all.

Irrational desire to ride a Pinarello Dogma

Looks like there’s none in my size in rim version. 53/54maybe

I’m glade because I just spent more on an f8. But I’m going with the opinion that it’s better than the f10.

Though, I’ll never know.

I was only 1/2 kidding, smiley face present. You'll figure it out with help... seems you have.

Dunno if different for Droid VS Apple...

But Tapatalk has me confused. And where is this thread. I have it book marked, but can’t find it on the page.

Now I see it.

I needed some tough love. All the various forums I go to I should know better than being that guy.

Thanks

So I’d like some more opinions on the f8 vs f10 debate. (Though I read 100 pages between the two forums)

The line that got me was form —the Jerk. He said the f10 behaves more like a “regular bike” than the f8. Went on to talk about the research and development that went into the f8 and the manufacturing process. Taut was used a few times and under stress. https://www.velocipedesalon.com/foru...f-50213-5.html

Some took issue with that, but the dude sure seemed like he knew what he was saying and I believe is a reputable frame builder which further backs that up imo.

I’d like my f8 to behave differently in a good way. Since getting back into cycling 8 years ago after a 20 year layoff I’ve ridden two lower end Giant tcr’s, switched to a tcr advanced sl after about a year, then bought a De Rosa Protos in 2016(the model with the enormous down tube) Its being repaired as we speak and I hope it feels the same as pre Kia t-boning.

The protos clearly feels more lively than giant and I love it. I wonder if I’ll feel that difference or be able to better quantify what I feel other than more “lively”?

Great thread and thanks to all for all the helpful information.

I gave in to the dark side. Need to ditch the Zipps for my Campy Bora's once I find a new freehub, switch out bars and stem. First impression - reminds me of my Peg Marcelo with a few obvious differences.

I've kicked myself more than once for not grabbing a F8 from InGamba when they were available, so after hemming and hawing decided to grab this one and avoid further regrets. I'll own my shallowness and admit to being sold by the paint/graphics!

Dangit.....my will is too weak!

I figured someone had to bite the bullet and help Clean39T out.....so his K8-S is heading down the west coast to its new home. Excited to build it up and compare it to my Trek Domane Classics.

Have always enjoyed the Pinarello frames I've owned (Prince, magnesium Dogma FP), and I'm glad to have one back in the stable.

Enjoy! I owned an F 8 and now a K10-S, both great bikes. Like I told Dan, there is a video from Pina on YouTube showing how to adjust the soft tail suspension.
