Any reviews on White Industries G25A rims?

I'm just beginning to research some info for new wheels, and haven't seen too much info about these rims. They look sweet.

Anyone have any reviews or experience with them?

Subscribed. Need new gravel rims and never heard of these. Look great albeit at a steep price for an al rim.

No personal experience, but November Bicycles recently posted one. They said the rims seemed very well made, and White Industries specified a minimum of 40mm gravel tires. That’s because they’re hookless.

They're 25mm internal width. Zipp's new Firecrest 303 rims are also hookless with 25mm internal width, and Zipp seem to be recommending a minimum tire size of 28mm. Not sure why White is different, but maybe it doesn't matter that much. If I wanted 28mm or 32mm slick tires, I'd be on my road bike.

They purchased the production line from Trek quite a few years ago when they decommissioned their us-made rims. They buy the extruded aluminum and then roll, cut, weld, and drill in-house. Afaik ano is outsourced like with their hubs.

And they have 36 hole drillings...and in 27.5

Finally, Velocity is not the only game in town (as much as I am a fan of Velocity)

Irony for me is that I dont need asymmetric on the rear of a tandem with 145 spacing.

36h..I don't see any hubs in 36h tho..not disc hubs..maybe some tandem. Unless the flanges are the same center to flange, both sides, with 145mm spacing, with a rotor/cogset..OC rims can still help..for the front also, disc front hub..

BUT, pretty wide rim for a GRoad bike...Good on them, dipping their toes in rim making. Not surprised it's only one model and OC..making rims is tough.

Yes-for tandem. For DT Swiss rear 145 hub, disk vs cassette body is pretty much a wash with I think flange c-c is 25/26. For front we have an SP 8x cl disc hub which I think has equal flange c-c. The spoke lengths were the same in any case.

Sounds good but gotta wonder why a 36h rim, that's also OC, from these gents..Pretty easy, relatively, to change the rim drill machine from 32h to 36h..

But. Still seems a bit odd..

If I wanted to run 27.5 x 2.35" Schwalbe G-One Speed tires... am i better off going for a wider ~30mm MTB rim instead of this G25A?
