The Italians have a way of doing things like almost no one else. This has a two plate clutch with 8 coil springs for the pressure plate! I guess a single disc and a diaphragm spring is too simple!

Here's the 850 LeMans during and after.
Amazing bike. I had a Moto Guzzi a number of years ago and would love something like this bike now... They were as fun to ride as they were unique.

Yes, they are all 2 stroke. Although they look alike, they were manufactured about 20 apart! The 2 on the right are the "more desirable" models from a collector standpoint. These two are Italian models manufactured in the early 60's. The TV175 was the top end model at the time. The one on the right was manufactured in Spain in 1981. They built them in Spain till the late 80's (even though the original Innocenti factory in Italy closed in 1972). "Lambretta" 2 stroke scooters were also produced in India until 1997!

Still own this one in Indonesia, but I should probably sell it if I'm not moving back there soon:

OT: Motorcycles - Let's See Em!

Just found a few glory day pics from my club racing days. I miss the sound and feel of a 600 at redline. Angry and reactive as hell!

Someday I'll get back on the track and be one of those "old guys" I used to laugh at.

This was from a track day at Laguna Seca. Bonus points for those knowing whose replica helmet I'm wearing.

That is a Nitro Nori Arai. Strange that they released it in the Quantum E or F model line and not the RX-7. I had the same one along with a Sumoy Ben Bostrom and AGV Rossi Nero. My first nice road helmet was an Arai Quantum E Mick Doohan. I had no idea who he was but it was on super clearance.

Yup. Noriyuki Haga. I met him at Laguna Seca one year for WSBK. He signed my helmet. So now, the helmet is a wall mount.

I don't really remember, but I don't think the RX-7 was out when the Haga replica was released. I currently do have an RX-7.

As most mc race enthusiast peeps can attest, it always devolves into Arai v Shoei. I go with Arai.

I have settled on Arai, Shoei gives me hotspots front/rear.

I imported my latest Arai though, the RX-7V has a slightly different shape than the Corsair-X and the RX-7X.

I nuked a Signet last June:
