OT. Need laptop bag for new MB M1 16"

This subject has probably been beat to death but I will bring it back if the collective does not mind.

I have had a Brenthaven for probably 15 years to lug around my 13" MBP and it looks barely used. It won't fit the 16" so I need something that is put together well and will last many years.
NOT looking for a sleeve since the laptop will have a form fitting hard shell that goes into the laptop bag. I don't want big, just enough to put in some cords, power brick and small hard drives so it needs a sturdy strap.

I found this> Never heard of it. https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Design-E...54&sr=8-1&th=1

So I am thinking a $200 budget. Yeah Tumi is nice and about $600. I have a Tumi briefcase bag that is 20 years old. Still going strong. It was a gift and probably the best bag money can buy. YMMV.

I get lots of compliments on the backpack. Would recommend.

I suggest Think Tank bags. I have several and they are super tough:

Check out Etsy - lots of really good options.

I have one of these, naturally, and I'm really pleased with it but I"m not sure if they're still available anywhere.

I have two peak design bags, they are both really nice, but more camera oriented.

I have used dozens of different types of laptop messenger bags here in NYC. The only one I've found that I didn't immediately destroy is made by Crumpler. They're out of Australia and make a bunch of high-end camera bags.

Seriously, these are the only bags that I've found that can actually handle the abuse of a daily NYC commute. The rest pretty much immediately disintegrate.

Good luck on your search, let us know what you come up with!

I still have a Waterfield bag in case you're interested. Even if not, I wholly recommend them. Great quality bags, made in San Francisco, and the founder is a cyclist. They have a lot of cool cycling bags too.
