OT: The Chicago Bears are terrible

I've been a Bears fan since the 80s. Year after year it's the same buzz and the same implosion. It really makes you admire the great organizations, like the Steelers or Ravens. Consistent and smart. That must be nice.

Quarterback issues make it hard for the rest of the team to function.
Even with a good to great defense it sucks when you are on the field all the time and your offense doesn't score points.

As a lifelong Cowboys fan all I can say is, I feel ya! Even when we win 13 regular season games, we are let down in the playoffs. But I am from Dallas so they will be my team, dysfunction and all.

Don't admire other teams. They are the enemy. Enjoy your team, through thick and thin. signed, a lifelong E-A-G-L-E-S fan.

Have to agree with OP's conclusion. After a 5-0 start too, I think. (And since then, 0-7.)

Hard to believe it's the same team that beat (no, slaughtered) the Patriots in the Super Bowl decades ago. Oh yeah, that's when OP became a fan.

I grew up in greater Chicago area, so they're in my genes. Don't know how that works, but I'm stuck with it.

Any time you root for a team whose greatest quarterback played when Roosevelt and Truman were President, and your all-time leader in receiving yards retired in 1967, you have no one to blame but yourself.

FlashUNC, the Paul Mooney of Paceline. Your comical wisdom is noted. I just can't quit 'em.
