Looking sharp - I’m a big fan of 2x for gravel bikes, it just makes sense for all road riding.

There are seemingly infinite options for gravel bikes at the moment. I recently built up this Brother Mehteh, which I posted about in the production bikes section:

It’s super smooth riding, that surprised me and was very obvious right up front coming from a steel frame and carbon fork.

When you ride in road mode does it feel like a dog or more spirited?

Looking to buy a gravel bike ( yeah I know), I have a nice road bike and FS MTB, so don't need a cross over so much. There are a couple Ibis Haka MX and SC Stigmata's but at 65 yo and being in chunky Colorado.

Maybe those are too stiff?

Maybe a Niner steel?

Otso Warakin steel or Ti?

Thoughts?

Don't want to break the bank though.

Thanks so much.
Late to the party, but if you want a great budget friendly ti gravel bike then just go buy a Lynskey. I have had everything from Parlee Chebaccos, No 22 Drifter, Stigmata 2nd Gen, Firefly ti/carbon and plenty of others. All are great bikes and have their merit, but my current gravel bikes are a Custom flat bar Winter and a late Lynskey Urbano.

The Lynskey is an excellent all arounder. Comfortable, balanced, capable and way cheaper than a whole lot of the other bikes I listed. It is a great all day bicycle and really is tough to beat! Glad to answer any questions about any of the above bikes as well!

Feels more spirited with 650b. Can’t comment on 700.

Time to go ride!
Sorry for digging up an old thread. I'm considering getting the Litespeed Watia and would love to hear some first-hand experience.

What do you think now that you have it for a while?

What size did you get? Is there any toe overlap? (that was the complaint from the cyclingtips review that concerns me.)

I agree. The ALR in particular looks great - they updated the fork on the '22 as well from last year's model. Now a much nicer package overall.

It makes it a more legit dirt/adventure bike and differentiates from the Domane better now vs just bigger tires.
