You have a ridiculously nice gravel bike collection.
I would love to hear how you feel this one compares with the Moots and No. 22. |

Show me your gravelbikes....inspire me.
They are very nice so far for the dirt roads. They grip well and roll smooth. I have only ridden them from my house to the gravel/dirt road that is a quarter mile from my front door on the pavement, but they felt smooth enough there as well. This bike is definitely more cx than the other two. It feels quicker handling and has a shorter head tube for a more aggressive ride. I have to get some more rides on it to really get to know it. It is definitely a very nice ride and have to thank Sparky33 again for letting me buy it. I was smitten the first time I saw photos here. Really liking the hot tubes fade paint and the fit feels good so far. I ended up trading the Routt for a Vamoots RSL. It was a phenomenal bike and the ride was like a Cadillac. Smooth and responsive and built to ride all day. It was just a bit redundant with the Drifter and I wanted to try out the new RSL with etap and enve 3.4s. The no22 is just a great bike for all day on and off road. It feels right while on pavement and even better when on dirt and gravel. It feels fast and responsive to input with very comfortable geometry. If I were to have only one bike the Drifter would be it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Glad you are enjoying it.
You’ve got this one right H. It’s a legit cx bike, really quick and fun. Good choice on the Steilacoom tires too. The fade is quite something to behold. I don’t quite know how Jordan makes the transition completely seamless and perfectly gradual. Quote:

How are you liking your Firefly?
Also, what’s the green bike you posted to this thread a few weeks ago? Sweet stable of bikes you have! |

I just got back for a 52 mile mixed ride on the steilacoom tires and they and the bike performed flawlessly. The paint is awesome as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My green bike is a Zanconato.
I like my Firefly. It fits right. Comfortable, quick, 650bx48s, middling gearing. dynamo lights, etc, etc. Climbs well too, so I prefer this bike for long adventurous rides. The tubing is of moderate diameter and externally butted, so it's got happy medium stiffness that is appropriate for this kind of bike. I have a love-hate relationship with the EnveM50/i9 wheels - the rear hub is crazy loud, and the internal nipples are inconvenient for the couple of truings I've done. Though they are among the easier (for me) rims for tubeless set up and they don't weigh a lot. Having a dynamo hub is awesome. Last edited by sparky33; 06-18-2018 at 09:08 AM. |
