i think it looks great!

the white really pops, and i bet it rides spectacularly.

i dont know if there is a way you can check it out before buying, but the deda gunmetal or whatever they call it may be a much closer match than the thomson stuff to the Ti finish?

just a thought. otherwise i think it's bang on.

Thanks Nick. I hadn't seen that Deda stuff, will look into it.

The ride is indeed spectacular (he said, foaming at the mouth over the rare appearance of a right-sized Pego in the classifieds, wondering where all the Colnago lovers have gone as his C40 sits unbid upon…)

Looks good, Charlie.

That said, although some may look down on it, I've picked up a very nice Ti stem and seatpost sourced out of China on eBay. Might match nicely...

The Deda dark polish was discontinued a few years ago but you can still find some used ones. Stems are somewhat easy to find. It's the matching seatpost and bars that you don't see come up for sale that much. I have a 110 mm x -8 degree stem if you're interested. It's not an exact match to Ti but closer than the Thomson silver.

Thanks, but I think at this point I've made my peace with the contrast between shiny and matte.
