Happy Father's Day!

Hope you all got to go ride and/or spend time with family and friends!

Rode with my daughter. 90 degrees. Humid. She kicked my butt.

I slept late and didn't ride at all today, but did go on a date with my wife to one of the best cycling coffee shops around. We later brought lunch to my father in law and visited him in the hospital (he is allowed to have outside food and what we brought was way better than hospital food). One good thing about now having taken more of an interest in cars is that I get to talk to him more about some of the cool ones I get to see. Since I didn't ride today, the car of the day was a mere Astin-Martin, but the most interesting car sighting was seeing a Cayenne towing a boat folllowed by a Macan towing two sets of jet skis.

Got nice notes from both kids... but daughter decided to go all in. She was racing in the Harlem Skyscraper USA Crits women’s pro12 race this afternoon. She hung back, then unleashed her sprint and finished fifth! That was a tough field. There’s a Father’s Day high if ever there was one.

Camping this weekend ! Horrible sleeps, lots of bad food, tearing around on bikes with my wife and kids, watching my 6+8 yr old try out a pump track - pretty hilarious!

No proper riding - that’s life

What I like about Father's Day is I get to decide how I want to celebrate it.

So, I took the kids to the local grocery store and declared that they can pick anything they want on the ice-cream and dessert sections because that's we gonna have for DINNER!

Let's see, we ordered:

1 X Chocolate Hazelnut
1 X Rocky Road
1 X Orange Sherbet
1 X Lime Sherbet
1 X Rainbow Sherbet
1 X Mint Chocoloate
1 X Eclair
1 X Twisted donut
1 X Baklava

shared between five of us.

Then we rented Redbox and watched Jumanji.
