Serotta 20th anniversary #26

It took me a while to build this up finally but it is worth the wait. I'm not gonna do a ride report justice, but this thing does not feel like 25 year-old technology. I believe Richard Sachs once said that this much engineering and advanced techniques with tubing production (or modification depending on how you look at it) has never before and will never again be achieved with steel tubesets since the CSI came and went. This is the pinnacle of Serotta's design and execution in bikes as far as I'm concerned.

Sweet ride. Thanks for sharing. I'm building a yellow/red fade CSI now -- looking to that first spin this spring. Ben built wicked good frames.

Really sweet build! I have a 25Th anniversary that I purchased from my friend Mike Grotz (was one of his personal bikes) well as a couple that were built for me. They really are great riding machines.

Fun to see these pop up now and again. It was a lot of work making all these but a privilege at the same time.

Enjoy the ride.

Thanks all. Yea, this is a testament to the beauty of a lugged steel frame, right? Such a bonus to know that DK applied his considerable skills to the fabrication of all of these.

Angry, the bars are the sim works co-mirsolu (sp?) by nitto. I love the shallow drop, flat top and long run-out of the drops. They aren't cheap, and somewhat hard to find--I had to special order them through gravel and grind shop in Frederick, but worth looking for. They also offer one with an oversize clamp section, and in black.

Beautiful bike. Some things really age gracefully.

Whether folks will look back on our current carbon favorites the same way...
