Silca limited-edition chain lube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EECZB3IGV4
https://silca.cc/products/silca-super-secret-chain-lube Well, that sold out quickly. $25 is a bargain for handmade chain lube, right?

Someone needs to make an El Risitas video for Silca like this:

Do people actually "holt melt wax dip" their chain??

Well, if Silca is sold out, there are some pretty fabulous alternatives. My fave:
https://nixfrixshun.com/nixfrixshun-...cle-chainlube/ It does what it says it will do. I first got some from the Nixfrixshun guy at the Hartford NAHBS, which was fun all by itself. I also got the little mini Silca travel torque ratchet set, which has also been terrific. And a chain whip tool from Abbey. And other clever and fine swag. What a great show |

premier bike ultra glide?
This product has been around a few years and seems to satisfy gear-obsessed Tri geeks (oh the horror!). Seems similar to the Silca version?

Yes. But normal people call it waxing their chain...

I do and it is the way to go. I have 3 chains and just rotate them out.

So Josh makes this for Silca but doesn't sell it as NFS?
Something is slippery like a fish. |

Silca no longer sells NFS chain lube.

Ah I did not know that. I saw "Josh" and assumed NFS Josh. Because you know....lube...Josh.
Anyway did you buy some of this secret sauce? |

I didn't. I don't care about "maximizing performance through friction reduction," and my chain is quiet enough as it is. I'll stick to ProLink, which works well enough.

I hear ya. I think most chain lube's work just fine as long as you maintain.
