Willie

This is Willie the miniature Goldendoodle. We got him from a breeder who was retiring as a 2yr old, completely unsocialized pet. He's been with us for almost two and half years and he's very much a good dog.

Actually lost him about a year ago, still in mourning. My buddy.
Utmost condolences. As I've said before, dogs' short lifespans are one of the great tragedies in the world.

I love Newfies (especially Landseers) but couldn't ever feel right about subjecting one to the relatively hot weather here. Every one I've ever met has been a delight.

This x1000. I’m already dreading the day mine pass away and they’re only 2 and 3. Time with them has absolutely flown, though.

Sorry for your loss, A1A.

This is our rescue, Miss Monroe. She's a mix of whippet and boxer, and faster and more powerful than an Alabama running back. She has been most helpful this year in keeping the woodchucks from eating our garden. Bandana from Penny Spices. (Not sure about the rotation.)

Thanks guys, I really apprceciate that. Usually takes me at least a year to even begin considering looking for my next Newf dating back to my first in 1990. Zack (in the photo) I nicknamed "RockStar" because everywhere we went people just had to walk up and visit him, I think because brown and whites are pretty rare. Plus 155 pound dogs garner attention anyway. But I never worried about strangers coming up to him because as with all Newfs, he just loved people. And kids most of all. I've never met a mean Newf in my life.

Today we adopted 5 year old Walter. He is an ex race dog with a very gentle personality. As an added bonus he is fully aero!

We are in Tasmania so I guess somewhere here, but I’m not sure. We got him through an animal sanctuary.

The hounds and I in Joshua Tree. Rare that anyone takes a photo of me AND the dogs but here we are.
