That's a great deal for that bike. The 12mm rear and 15mm front axles are a common size for factory mtb disc wheels, so swapping in a set of 650B wheels and tires should be quick and easy.

The Salsa Journeyman series look pretty cost effective if you're open to aluminum. Also a used Trek CrossRip maybe?
