I'll second the dill pickle, it's worked well for me on tours and brevets.

Thanks--custom for me Seven Redsky built in 2019. I love it so much. Very stealthy blasted logo on the down tube.

I have a Swift Industries Bandito bag. It’s easy to attach and take off and it holds a decent amount of stuff. It can be attached to the handlebars or under a Brooks saddle (I’ve used it in both places).

It’s a good bag.

I've got an Outer Shell bag that I love, but always found it to sit a little funny on the bars. Aside from that, very spacious and minimally invasive to run with a computer / lights.

Really like my Raddler bag from Atelier Atwater, which is local to me, offers custom for just about anything, and very well made.

I haven't lived in Portland in a long time, but these folks are local. https://northstbags.com/en-ca

I wanna put in a vote for Outershell's handlebar bags. The stabilizing cords underneath have a lot of stretch to accommodate different stem/headtube lengths

Wow so many bags, so little consensus Maybe I should narrow down what I like:

-Super easy to put on and take off. This is almost the most important thing as if it's fiddly to get it set up securely I just won't use it

-Easy to open/close access while riding is second priority.

-I am kind of leaning towards one like the Swift that mounts fully under your stem keeping the weight closest to the frame to impact handling less

-Waterproofinng not important, this is my dry weather bike

-Size: Fits a light to midweight layer (soft shell at largest), with just a bit of extra space. It won't be a bikepacking bike so on the mid range of size is probably better than the ones that are almost standard rando handlebar bag size

Has anyone done the research enough to pinpoint one that may fit these data points?

And currently on sale (a seaglass color) for $70.

Outer Shell's drawcord bag is awesome. It goes on quickly. Best thing about it is it is very, very easy to get into while riding. The bungee over the stem design is really good. It's easy to clip lights on the outside. It's maybe a little bit bigger than I need and looks a little clunky but the function is top notch.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm still not exactly sure which bags suit my needs most, so I'm going to seek out a couple/few used ones to try out. I'm going to make a wanted post but feel free to reach out if you have one for sale!
