Empires with flat laces with heat shrink ends for use with lock laces.
Lace tension pretty easy with this setup.

Had (still have) the Carnac Legends. Do they count?
Great shoe. Liked the better support feel the laces gave.

Too bad Carnac didn't/ couldn't keep up with the market.

Me too Veloo.
So sad to see Carnac change their design to a narrow box, then die.
Loved my Rivats and Vittoria 1976 revival shoes as well.
Nothing I have found that feel like pedaling in my favorite slippers.
I may have to try the Dramarti shoes, higher price, but look to be what I want.

Most of my shoes have BOAs or Sidi dials, but like others here I love my Giro Empire lace ups - comfortable and good (classic) looking I don't see a reason not to choose laces for my next cycling shoes.
