Show me the dumbest bike you ever built
I'll go first. Put this together in about an hour a couple years ago and used in on a 20 mile group ride. Fixed gear double handle bars. It was not a comfortable day in the saddle. Dura Ace though!

Is there where Canyon got the idea for their Hover bar?

Don't get how you could be uncomfortable on a bike with a gazzillion different positions to offer.

That's like a bike version of the mullet. Business down low, party up top.
I once put a crank backwards but didn't take pics. |

Just needs bar ends and aero bars clipped on and you’d have some type of record for most hand positions available.

I think he got the idea from Sheldon Brown. Even many years gone, he's still ahead of our time.
And I see what you did wrong on that fixed gear bike: You should have run a non-aero brake lever on the drop bar, and then run the cable (emerging from the top of the lever) through a top mount lever on the straight bar, so you could brake from either handlebar. |

yes, that is baaaaaddddd.
No photos, but I had a vintage MTB that was a bit too small and I put a 150mm stem and them swept back bars on it purely because the bar was cool. Shouldve put a 110mm stem and a straight bar instead... |

I misread the down tube at first. Thought it said "Attention."

It should say, “intervention”

I have a lovely Merckx Extra Corsa that I built with SRAM Apex with white hoods and white brakes. It looks pretty good and rides very well but it is just so wrong. At least it has a nice Sugino crankset (with an odd Q factor).
