Yeah, I'd try 30s in there, or different 28s that poof out bigger. Maybe Gravel Kings or Paselas?

(Or has this been your road bike all along and you just... rode off the pavement?)
Yeah, this is my roadie - just seeing how it would do on this kind of stuff before hopping into a group ride that hits similar gravel roads.. I can't say the SMP Forma is a good choice for this stuff - a bit of tush padding for the washboard bumps would be welcome.

I passed on the BMC MUSA, and instead picked up a custom-spec'd Boone 9 that will eventually be a parts/wheels donor to either something custom, or a '18 Litespeed gravel bike (I like the race-oriented geometry), or maybe a Stigmata...that is unless I love the way it rides/fits, which is possible. It's coming with a 1x Di2 XT wide-range setup that I'm swapping out to 2x 6870, and both tubeless Ardennes and tubular Ardennes, so I'll be all set for some cross racing if I choose to jump in here end of the season. I have put hands on any of it yet though, so fingers crossed it makes it here in one piece and is as promised.

Yes. Tucson to San Manuel on day 1. San Manuel to Summerhaven back down to Tucson day 2. Very difficult to the point that walking was required on certain steep and very rough surfaced sections. My gearing is 11/36 - 50/34 w/44mm tubeless tires@ 40psi. Seriously needed mountain bike gearing or a triple crank. Also that ride is truly intended for a suspended bike.

According to mr. Garmin, the last 10 miles registered over 4,000 feet of climbing on some of the roughest roads I've experienced on any gradient. Wouldn't do it again on that bike but what a truly great 2-day adventure.

Try Google translate.

FWIW I married a Bavarian, so I have "built in" translation around here.

None of the side-bar sections on the left will open if GT is being used.

Well, yeah, in that case you have a definite advantage.

Perhaps the OP will be kind enough to fill in the blanks for us.

Hello
I am glad that you like the bike.
It's a Riccorsa custom steel frame I built 4 years ago. Model was my old bianchi record from the 80s and the Hampsten strada bianca. It's my only bike and I use it for road, gravel and forest roads and sometimes light bikepacking.
Since I have problems uploading the photos, you can look some fotos on flickr.
