I didn't even know, or forgot (old age does that to you) that he was hired - and now:

He wanted, but didn't get, his contract extended past the summer.
(He's still on the board.) To call the man a lightweight would be very generous.

I think it was Klopp who made a self-deprecating remark that he had first-division head but fourth-division talent. Seems like way too many in football organizations conflates first-division talent with first-division mind and managerial prowess... Last edited by echappist; 02-11-2020 at 09:56 PM. |

He's off the board too. What a farce of selfishness and irresponsibility.

And speaking of irresponsibility
City finally taken to task for its free-wheeling ways . Maybe PSG is next?
Banned from Champions League for two seasons. I guess Guardiola will hand in his resignation letter soon |

Getting ready for Dortmund/PSG? Should be pretty wide open.
What say you re: over/under goals? |

I think BvB will get creamed (unfortunately).
Something like PSG 8 - 3 BVB on aggregate. Two really good games today; too bad, I could watch only live game at a time |

Mes que un buitre?
FCB poached the player of a smaller club outside the transfer window, with the smaller club unable to look for a replacement
https://www.theguardian.com/football...sh-recruitment FCB can go to hell in a handbasket... At least vultures pick on only the dead; FCB does one better and doles out the body blows leading to the metaphorical demise (as in, relegation)... Last edited by echappist; 02-18-2020 at 12:21 PM. |

but what will Leganes do?
It's not trying to sign someone as an injury replacement, therefore it's not allowed to pull the same maneuver And if there's a time for special times requires special pricing, it's gotta be a situation like this. Except FCB pays the normal release clause Pretty rotten |

Leganes already brought in a new forward who has a good track record with them in his previous stint.
In Spain every player is required to have a buyout clause so if it's paid he goes. I'm sure smaller teams may want to add in some extra clause now for outside of window negotiations but that's for the contract. Teams in Spain also have pretty strict budget caps and some of these smaller clubs like Leganes and Eibar are very well run, I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work with the current squad |

Somehow this doesnt seem right to me. The transfer window closing date should be just that. Sorry if you incur late injuries - bench depth is important, so plan and budget accordingly.
