Bozeman MT must be some sort of freakish geographical anomaly ...to have two such highly acclaimed frame builders in the same tiny out-of-the-way town just seems like a record of some sort. Or proof of aliens.

I have seen a few bikes made by Paul Reardon ofBlue Steel Bikes out of La Crosse WI. He is on my short list when I am ready to pull the trigger on a SS frame.

The reason I posted Tomii is because it would seem like we would have more framebuilders residing here in Texas judging by the size but there's actually not that many as far as I know.
Isn't Crumpton also in Austin?

Does anyone know anything about Daltex (in Dallas)?

Speaking of obscure, Bearclaw in Michigan.

My hometown! Bozeman has always been an outdoors destination. And now it's become a mini-Aspen: those who can live anywhere move there. Carl's grandmother happened to live Town, where I used to deliver newspapers, and he inherited her house.

I'm truly surprised by the lack of Chicago-based builders. Humble is the only one I can think of. So many riders in Chicagoland that it seems a local custom maker could tap into something.

My Nobilette was made in Michigan.

My Teesdale was made in Iowa (using True Temper tubes made in Tennessee).

Also, there's a sticky with frame builders by state.. would make this easier..

Erik Rolf / Alliance Bicycles, Ketchum, Idaho. But he did start cutting his teeth in framebuilding with Carl Strong in Bozeman.
