Definitely.
Waiting on the group set to get in before I can finish the build but in a couple of weeks I will post some after its all built up. Here are some more of the frameset. I couldn't find another Carb Level Plus like this so when I saw it I had to get it. From what I have seen these frames always came with some pretty crazy paint schemes that were more like poster art. |

Super nice frame, did you put grease to the crownrace, right?

Good job! Love Fondriest frames. Post the build when you are done. |

I greased up under the crown and around the steerer tube pretty good before I smashed it down and beads of grease came out all around underneath as I pressed it down.
I just dry fit the fork in there for now to check the gap so I will grease up the rest before final install. |

You are now a certified bicycle mechanic! Haha! Nice work, looks good. Don't hesitate to ask if you run into some other difficulties, always rewarding assembling your own bike.

Just wanted to post the final build after it was complete for those folks that helped me with the crown race issue. I have a couple nice rides so far and I am really happy with this bike.

Not to poo poo on your victory but how will you ever be able to get the race off in the future without damaging the fork? You may have been better off sanding the inside of the race down a bit or the base of the fork. All said and done if the race only has to sport a sealed bearing then it should never need to be changed.

With the appropriate removal tool. Unless I missed something, the parts were in spec and installed as-intended by the manufacturer.

Great job with the build! Can't go wrong with Chorus. Way to show that effing crown race who's boss!
Hope you eventually cut the fork steerer tube a bit. Enjoy. |

I'm just throwing it out there and I have never had a fork that the race didn't need to be whacked on to get it seated except for my Emonda. |
