Strada Biancha HTLTU [Tubeless Tubulars] land
Naked XTR CX Tubular NIB wheelset appropriated here needed sneakers. So I ordered up some 30mm tubeless HTLTU tubulars as planned. Challenge Strada Bianca from Sigma @ 82.00 each.
Tires landed faster from UK that I am getting State Side deliveries, like the Mastik for example. Prelim report: Stretchy poo, wait for glue.. Starting life at 30mm exactly @ 80 PSI for the relaxing exercise. The initial loose stretch air up they got fat enough I started to get concerned. Way rusty with sew-ups though, forget a lot of past hands on frankly. Very nice and round. All 3 tire purchased just under 400 grams each. The 36mm version although tempting would not fit my Helix disc, and the weights I saw on the net frankly sacred me a bit. So the 30mm Alpine JB w/Latex tubes coming off and these with sealant are right at a wash tire weight wise on paper. The 30mm alloy tubeless clincher wheels that are coming off are 750 grams heavier, just wheels. [Lynskey Base Visions] These are 2128 grams as pictured before sealant/glue. Expect to run them 65/75 on pave, and will see how they behave on loose surface -20 PSI each maybe? I am sitting at 200lb personally/currently for prospective. Don't recall ever having tires the labels were 180^ from the valve, just an observation. Comments and/or suggestions welcome.

They look dope but damn are they heavy! Glad I went a slightly different direction for 30s

I have the Alpine JBs, 28mm GP4k that fat out to 31mm but get cut if I get too adventurous, And a stash of Pro4 Service Course that don't cut as easy as the GP4Ks, weight even less and fat out to 29+. So all 30s in my book. They Pro4s don't seem to roll nearly as well as the Contis, but maybe better than the JB, maybe. I'll add this re: Stradas. Last tubulars I got was 6-7 years back. 6 Clement factory made from Yellow Jersey, The Stradas appear very much straight and beautifully round comparatively.

Well compared to what really? Soma or Challenge Open Clincher w/extra light casings? 30mm tube even latex is 80 grams. And stretching a smaller latex tube is a fools errand, just ask this fool that has tried it. Supple Vitesse SL 33mm=250 grams+ 80 tube, 70 grams less for a lot less durable rolling setup. EX heavier tire +40 grams might be a fairer durability comparison. Apples/oranges stuff kinda... The Strada Open 30mm is 350 grams, as is my Alpine JBs, both need tube. But to the sturdier side VS ExLite stuff more material suggests. Strada TL in 30mm is 305 advertised, bet it is heavier by a little, add sealant. I may get some to A/B to the tubies on some light-ish clincher wheels. None on my disc clinchers come close to these XTR 1350 gram hoops. Being a Clyde [albeit just] I am weary of 24 spoke disc wheels with less than 30mm rims honestly. Back to the Visions that are quite heavy, but strong enough to do some off piste that is not smooth as glass... He!!, the pave here is not smooth as glass... That is all just words, I wanna roll these, glue is in the mail.

65/75??? u arent afraid to just dent the rim with such a pressure? Find it way too low IMO specially for the front one.

For me @ 200 lb., 47x650b or 42-45x700 be chosen for gnarly use. Or if too gnarly 2.2x650b on my Gary...

is there a minimum rim-width for these?

Dunno, but the base tape stick past the 26.4 XTR rim 2mm or so each side. If glued onto a 19 old school rim be a lot of tape hanging out. I did not see a limit will all the googling I did getting up to this point, which was a lot. Just saw this on the Trek site for the 36mm, Could just be generic cut/paste crape... Specifications: Size: 700 Tyre Width: 36 mm Internal Rim Width: 17-23 mm They sit on these XTR rims like a glove I can say.

Have you checked the pressure to see how much they are bleeding off? Could be some stretching going on too.

I pumped them to 80 PSI and sat for about 30 hours before I figure that 75 is max. DUH, They were still very hard, I bled off a bunch. No sealant in yet either. My latex tubes in clinchers would have been softer than I'd want to ride them 30 hours later.
