What's a good alloy tubular rim?
Hey everyone. I'm wanting to build a nice set of handbuilt tubular wheels for crit racing, as well as training. I've got a couple of pairs of handbuilt wheels from my shop, and I'm looking to rebuild one set onto some alloy tubular rims.
I see a lot of people go for the older rims such as Mavic GEL 330's, GP4's and the like. Are these alloy tubular rims that good of a deal over something such as the modern day Mavic Reflex or the Velocity Escape? Thoughts? Comments? Pettit Also, what's a good all-around tubular tire that is durable, yet good enough to race on? Thinking something along the lines of the Vittoria Rally.
