Everything specialized is currently "oversold", think overbooked flight. Specialized wants singular commitment... don't back out... hence the letter

The other side of this will interesting

Specialized has a history of pooping on the dealer and then coming back with hat in hand when it all goes bad. Going to be interesting

Oh I get it. I know what they're like. I worked for the biggest S dealer at one point. They made a price level just for him. They're interesting for sure. You couldn't pay me to work with them given everything.

I think that we are evaluating this on the basis of preponderance. There is enough to suggest that Specialized is callous and treats its employees arbitrarily.

Would you as a manager ask any pregnant employee to ride a bike as part of work? I wouldn't. The risk of injury is too high. Yet, Specialized did.

They sued a company in Canada over using the Roubaix name when they didn't actually own the name. They had to drop their lawsuit because of this fact. It suggests that they are rash and loose with the facts.

They just built a 1000$ balance bike. How much resources were tasked to this ? Why not fix their bottom bracket problems instead of going back to BSA?

My impression is that they aren't technically savvy and they have a brash attitude towards their own workers and others.

Why would I buy from them when the geometry is always off and their bikes are priced more than competitors ?

Why would I buy from them when I support worker's rights ?

Mike Sinyard once admitted to me that a subversive cabal of underage workers contracted to build specialized bikes in asia purposely tweaks the geometry to screw up the ride of the bike. Same cabal has also devised an ingenious way to make every bike creak... in a different way. So ingenious that it cannot be solved by the mortal mind

Better not buy from a LOT of companies then, both in Asia AND the US or Europe.

Did he tell you about his love of psychedelics? Or how the Earth is flat? The dude is super out there. I'm curious how much he's invested in the psychedelics so far. And before people say I'm kidding, seriously, google it. www.projectnewday.foundation
