like Specialized HydroFlo with either MoFlo or Watergate caps...flexibility of the bottle is easy on slightly arthritic thumbs

I've tried the CB insulated bottles, and found that when it's hot they don't really keep the water cold, and they sweat like crazy, so if you're riding dirt and gravel, or single track, you end up with wet dirty dripping bottles without the benefit of the nice cold water.

Anyway, someone gave me a Kleen Kanteen insulated bottle, and I am amazed at how long it keeps iced water cold in the heat, with NO sweating on the outside of the bottle.

Poking around their website I see that their water bottle cage has some kind of vinyl coating, is made by Two Fish, and is currently on sale.

Now I hate to give up what I like, especially a King cage, but wondering if anyone is using this on the bike?

Any info would be helpful...

SPP
Not exactly familiar with those ( I know Two Fish and they are good) but I assume they are sized to fit the stainless bottles better right?

If you want powder coated King you can get them for Myth Cycles. I have them coming today.

Purist

I second the purist bottles. Years ago used the Camelbacks, but never really had good luck with them.

Phil

Hmm looks like Tenacious Water is gone. Just the oil ones now.

Somebody online must have some. I know shops in Chicago that do but don't sell online.

Ah well, time goes by. Might have missed my chance.

Come to think, I've got a contact in Chicago, I should ask him to shop around...

(Off-topic: Christmas-tree ornaments and 16-oz. shot glasses (?!) in turned aluminum on the Phil site. 'Tis the season!)

diggin up this old thread, just curious, anyone know where I can find these bottles but plain? https://teamdreambicyclingteam.com/c...ol-bottle-sets

The site mentioned it's made in france...I like the shape but want it plain. If anyone has alternatives, let me know! Looking for a more classic looking bottle that works well.

Also, i've been searching the net for random hot sauce kinda bottles LOL, I found this: https://www.amazon.com/Ripple-Juncti.../dp/B00FAV19GS but quality looks questionable. Being asian, this sits right at home with me. Has anyone come across something similar but in the form of a specialized purist bottle? :P

Saw this as well: https://pedal-pt.myshopify.com/produ...d-water-bottle
Just grad out of pharm school, and this appeals to me haha

They're made by TA Specialites, but don't know a retailer that sells them.

I used to think, as a bike shop owner, that my shop 'had arrived' at success when I started to find my bottles on the side of the road.. I did about 2005 or so...

BUT, bike water bottles...consumables.

Huh, interesting. I thought surely Peter White would have them, since I know he imports TA, but he only lists the TA cages on his site as far as I can see.

I think rather than meaning a shop has arrived, it means that bottle cage installation procedures needed a little tweaking. lol
